Effect of lockdown on routine immunization services in a tertiary care hospital of Rajasthan, India: quarterly analysis

Background: Lockdown was used as a tool to control COVID-19 but it has resulted in the disruption of routine immunization services both India and globally. Present study aimed estimate effect lockdown periods during years 2020 2021 on at tertiary-care hospital Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Methods: A retrospective record-based observational conducted paediatric hospital, Jaipur. Data were collected from records centre for vaccines administered children (0-16 years) under universal programme (UIP) January 2019 December 2021. Doses assessed proxy measure vaccine coverage. The vaccination trends compared with base year 2019. unpaired ‘t’ test significance percent change statistical analysis. Results: maximum second quarter declination total doses by -49.9% -36.2% respectively. first period recorded negative difference dose Td (10 (-98.4%) followed DPT booster-2 (-83.6%). (16 (-62.5%) Td-10 (-58.1%) (-56.5%). Conclusions: This concludes that least which coincides period. Hence emergencies like other alternative arrangement continuance may be implemented.
